I am always interested in promoting the University to an international audience. My personal aim is to bridge the University of Aberdeen with Indonesian institutes in both joint-education and research collaborations. Here are some outreach activities I do towards realising my personal goal while gaining valuable experience in international engagement.
I participated in the Overseas Study Exhibition Fair held at South China Normal University in Foshan, China, in October 2024 and November 2025, where I represented the University of Aberdeen to prospective postgraduate students interested in studying in the UK. During the events, I engaged with students and their families, shared information about the University of Aberdeen’s postgraduate programmes, and provided guidance on studying and living in the UK. I also answered questions about admissions, academic expectations, student support, and the wider benefits of pursuing postgraduate education at Aberdeen.
On 11 December 2025, I was invited to participate in Higher EduFair 2025 at Paradisa Cendekia School, an international school based in Jakarta, Indonesia. On this occasion, I attended as a representative of the University of Aberdeen and introduced the University to international high school students who were considering undergraduate study abroad. I provided information about the range of undergraduate programmes available at the University, as well as the academic environment, student experience, and opportunities for international students in Aberdeen. Through discussions with students, teachers, and school representatives, I encouraged prospective applicants to consider the University of Aberdeen as a destination for their higher education.
